1993 civic EX rough idle and stalls at stops
Hey guys,
I have a '93 Civic EX that is having some issues. It idles fine on startup and as the car is first driving, but after it gets warm it seems to idle really low and rough and stalls almost everytime I stop. The RPM's will drop and it gets really rough then dies out.
I have cleaned my IACV, throttle body, air intake, replaced my PCV and replaced the spark plugs. It also has a new Battery and distributer. I also recently sleaned the battery to chassis, transmission to chassis and waterpump(?) to chassis grounds(This was to solve a no start and low voltage issue).
Thoughts?

Had the same problem and fixed it 2 days ago. Things i did:
*seafoam in fuel tank
*clean iacv, tb, im
*make sure timing is dead on, mine wasnt dead on
*and raised idle just a lil bit.
Now is running great.

Re: 1993 civic EX rough idle and stalls at stops
Hey,
Sorry for not closing this up sooner. Yes the problem has been solved or so it seems. I had previously cleaned the throttle body and IACV with no change in the issue, So i checked the base idle, Unplugged the IACV sensor tried to turn the car on, nothing. Turned the idle screw out a bit and it sputtered so i pressed the gas a bit to get it started but it wouldn't stay on. So i turned the idle screw out more until i got it to the mentioned RPM's in my haines book and then turned the car off plugged the IACV back in pulled the backup fuse for 10 seconds to reset the ECU and now its good.
The car idles around 750 once warm now. Thanks for the help!
