1992 Honda Civic VX / VX Rims on 97 Del Sol Si
I have a 1992 Honda Civic VX in need of a new transmission (probably clutch as well) and exhaust (minus the muffler). I've got over 400,000 km on it so it doesn't owe me anything, but it has been a great car so I am reluctant to give it up.
Does anyone have any idea what it would cost to replace the transmission and clutch and exhaust (minus the muffler) and would it be worth the trouble / cost?
My next question is if I get rid of the VX, would it be possible to use the VX rims on a 97 Del Sol Si? If so, would I need to worry about the difference in size affecting the spedometer / odometer?? Would the smaller rims leave the del sol body too close to the ground to clear every day objects such as speed bumps?
Any help / suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!

any d-series manaul transmssion would work and they are very cheap used you can get a good used one for 100-300 bucks or ive seen rebuilt ones go for like 600 it really just depends on the transmission you want

Is the same transmission in both the CX and VX? I checked online for used parts and found a bunch ranging from $100 - $500 (for the CX and VX). Would these normally come with the clutch and everything inside or strickly the transmission?
Would the car have to be on a hoist to swap the transmission, since I believe the front axle has to come off the car?
Any idea what a reasonable amount of time it would take a mechanic (or guy at a garage) to do this?
Thanks!

the stock del sol alone is already like a 4X4 =p
even with 13's it'll still be riding high and dirty
