Icon6 1992 Honda Civic gas guage question

So on my 92 civic I just recently noticed the gas gauge goes a little up when i'm stopped then goes down a little when I start going. What could cause this?
I also noticed the engine idle was a lil rough. Could this have to do with fuel injectors issue?

Thanks for any help.

Fuel sloshes around fooling the level sending unit. A hard left or right will cause it to read higher or lower too.

It does this without making a hard left or right

Mine does this too. It's fine. Idk about the rough idle but the EG fuel level sensor is sensitive. They have refined this with newer hondas if you're ever in one they aren't near as sensitive.

It doesn't need to though. You stop, it moves the gas forward, you go, it moves the gas back. In the spot the reader is in, it causes it to think you've gained or lost gas. Get a newer car, and it will happen less.

the sending unit is in the front of the tank.
when you tilt the car(uphill/downhill) even a lil bit it will affect the gauge.

Dude. It's just as simple as this. The older the car, the more sensitive your gas gauge will be on movement, usually.

Realistically, there's nothing you can do. It's just sensitive. My RSX-S never did this, my friend's EP3s don't do this, it's just gotten refined over time (less sensitive).
