1992 civic low idle
I have a 92 civic VX with a D16Z6 in it. My issue is at first start up in the morning or after its been sitting for awhile it will idle around 12-1300 but as it warms up it drops a little at a time all the way to about 4-500 and feels like it want to cut off. have done all the typical test for rough idle such as checking for air in the cooling system smoked it for vacuum leaks. Im thinking my IACV finally just went out but before just throwing money at it and not fixing anything does anyone know of any test to determine if it is the IACV or any ideas on what my be causing it. I have even turned the idle screw out and the idle changes for a second but then goes right back down. If I unplug the IACV with the car running there is also no change but when I plug it back up it will go back to idle at around 850 but then will drop back down after a few minutes.
