Default 1992 Civic Hatch build up thread

Started on the build-up not to long ago. Taken lots of pics so far of the progress over the past couple months. Doing a K20a2 swap in a '95 CX hatch.

Bought the shell with no motor and decided to go this route with it.

So far I have already got:

-Hasport mounts
-Suja1 clutch line
-KDupletronics conversion harness
-Supertech valves, springs and retainers
-Eagle rods (thinking of trading them in for Manley tuff rods)
-Precision 1000cc injectors
-Bosch 044 fuel pump with -8an feed line from sump and -6an return line going into stock feed port.
-Aeromotive FPR
-P2R fuel rail
-JEGS fuel pressure gauge
-K-pro
-24x12x3 intercooler, still waiting in the mail, going to cut end tanks off and make my own
-ARP Headstuds
-Hasport radiator hose adapter

Suspension:
-K-sport coilovers
-Blox gold LCA's
-Rear disk conversion
-Stainless brake lines
-Energy suspension bushings
-ETD Racing K-tuned traction bars

Exhaust:
-Kteller 3" exhaust with Magnaflow muffler

Interior:
-TopSpeed seats recovered with black suede/red stiching
-RCI 4pt 3" harnesses
-Greddy gauges
-Autometer 5" tach
-COMPLETELY gutted except door panels and headliner
-B&M T-handle shift ****, HAHA
-Momo competition steering wheel with NRG quick release

Exterior:
-Hickam Series rear diffuser
-FAL Flex-A-Lite Polymer rear windows
-carbon fiber hatch
-Amber front corners
-duckbill
-front and rear lip with EK sideskirts
-SI wheels with 205/50-15 BFG radials
-MT 24.5/8/13 slicks

Things I need:

Swap axles
Precision GT4088 turbo
parts to build turbo mani
motor swap- still waiting on it
OBX LSD
lenso 13" VPD wheels
fab up my intercooler piping
Wiseco Pistons 10:1 compression
Heat treat tranny gears
few other little BS parts here and there, haha
new rotors and pads for rear
P2R intake manifold gasket
fab up bigger plenum for stock intake
fab end tanks for intercooler

if you have any of these let me know!

Here are some pics. Beware of lots of pics. 56k Go take a smoke break.

Engine bay when I got the car:

Here is the small one car garage i do MOST of my work in, Kinda dirty right now...

Rear of car when I bought it:

Dash:

Inside rear:

Painted it red then decided i didnt like the paint because it scratches to easy getting in and out of it. Now I will be using Duplicolor truck bed coating. Roll bar is the Kens Kustom Chassis Chromoly prebent 6pt. kit that I am thinkin about making it a 8pt with 2 more diagonal bars that connect main hoop and harness bar to the floor. Also want to add an X in the rear section.

Installing the rear diffuser and the mess afterwards:

Installing Bosch 044 fuel pump and lines

Started on my wire tucked. Took out all of the unnecessary wires that I wont need (engine harness plugs), Fuse box under the dash and battery will also be relocated:

Started installing Hasport motor mount on passenger side frame rail. Will be fully welded with no bolts for a clean look, still have some grinding and smoothing to do:

Removed the stock rear windows to put in the FAL Polymer windows:

Seats and harnesses that I took out of my other hatch before I sold it:

Front rad. support that person before me cut that i am rewelding to look cleaner:

Turned the fuel pump around and ran the power wire, still need to run the ground:

Picked up some sand paper from Harbor Freight to sand the red paint before I ley the truck bed coating down:

My easy way of doing it:

Thanks, Updates coming soon. Started taking the windshield out this weekend so I can replace the roof. The roof has 2 major dents from where the hood popped up so i am just replacing it cause you can't fix these dents!

I really wanted to get the -10an line, but opted for the -8an for now. I don't think i will be maxing it out yet!

How is the k-sport rideing for you? For some reason I cant adjust the k-sport to ride nicely, or either its too bouncey or too harsh.

It took long for my computer to load the images. Untill i saw the zip ties i was like wtf. As long the zip ties will hold up you be good, i rather use something stronger than zip ties, for your own saftey.

My friends with omni power, tein, and tokico, say my hatch rode better than their cars. It handles like no other. Of course it is going to be a little stiff, i ride with it on the softest setting. Turn it to hard when I am drag racing. Don't know why yours rides so bouncy, maybe the shocks are blown?

I dont think the zipties are going to break. I have so many on there. I took out the stock fuel lines and put the braided lines in their place. They aren't just dangling from the bottom of the chassis. They shouldn't go anywhere!
