Re: 1992 Civic bubble hatch teal green (Ratchback)
Welcome.
Sounds like you have a battle plan, so good luck with it. Make sure you use key words to search here, because usually any Q you might have about a specific set-up has been answered time and time again. 1.8'' drop? I hope you save the xtra money to also purchase struts too, because a 1.8'' drop (with stiffer than stock springrates) will ride like shit on stock high-mileage struts. I suggest the likes of KYB GR-2 non-adjustable struts (like $210.00 for a whole set of 4) with some decently soft lowering springs like Eibach Sportlines, or some Tein S-Tech springs. Also do not buy a camber kit for such a mild drop. Simply install the springs/struts, then go directly to a reputable alignment shop and have your toe set straight. Negative camber is good for handling just as long as the toe is set right. Also if the camber's not like over -1.8 degrees up front, -2.0 in the rear you shouldn't wear tires unevenly if your toe is dead center of the Honda specs. |

Then consider how much money you have to spend. Then make a list of what you would like done for either the show or go and see what out of those you can afford and go from their. Basically it's all about the money. |

Re: 1992 Civic bubble hatch teal green (Soccerking3000)
On my first 92 civic hatch I went all show...rims, body kit, paint, 6k worth of show parts. And now on my 95 hatch I went all go, 5k worth of go and I'm much happier with my all motor civic right now. All show is nice but when it comes down to people challanging you, gotta back down. So I'd say go motor!

engine swap, cheap body kit, cheap wheels, cheap paintjob, best way :-D
keep your money where it belongs; engine, suspension, brakes. |

if i recall corectly the z6 only came in a Si (in hatch form) and they never made a teal Si. so chances are it isnt a z6 unless someone swapped it in. not flaming you just giving what little knowledge i have on teal hatchy's https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif |

__________________________________________________ _____________________________________ Then you would be wrong. They did make teal SI hatchbacks. My brother and a good friend of his happens to have one. Both are 93 SI. And if I remember correctly you are also wrong about the Z6 only coming in hatchbacks. If I remember right they also came in 93-95 ex coupes and ex 4 doors. |
Re: (Evil_Wizard)
well i never said they only came in a hatch did i? i was trying to clear up the fact i was talking about the hatch and not a coupe so people didnt come in here saying the EX came in teal and it had a z6 thats why i put in (in hatch form) since we all know the Si only came in a hatch for that model (not to include the 99-00 Si). as for the Si coming in teal, i never knew that nor seen one. sorry if i misinformed but from everything i had seen they never made a teal Si. if u say you have one thats cool. got pics of it (i havent seen one)? https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
o and if i remember right it was 92-95 https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif u missed out by a year https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif |
Re: (VTECschmetec)
ya i just wasnt sure if it had a d16z6, i would say get the d16z6 swapped in then for 400-600 bucks then turbo it and you'll be good to go https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif
