It doenst turn over but might be the clutch? Thats a new one to me. Direct drop and easiest would be another D series motor, d15/16. With the info you gave it could be anything from a bad starter to something retarded like a ground cable not connected

yeah he is either full of **** and knows you know nothing about cars or he knows nothing about cars. I really don't think you should buy this ... let me explain. In the event your friend seriously thinks it is the clutch then there are going to be way more problems with that if he swapped it in there. If it isn't the clutch and your "friend" is just screwing you for some reason by the fact you believed him i don't think this is the kind of project you want to get into. I have bought a lot of things where someone thought that "the engine is blown" and it turns out the battery ground is broken. But it all depend on the price... how much does he want

BTW "my friend put in a engine that goes in there but doesnt crank or nothing they told me it might be the clutch" this could be sig material ha

fuel pump not priming? most likely the main relay.

but a bad main relay wouldn't cause it to not crank, it just won't turn over... or it'll turn over and immediately die.

you sure you meant that it's not cranking? or is it cranking but not turning over?

i had a swap and my fuel pump wasnt coming on too along w/ the engine light. The problem was that it was my transmission ground wasnt grounded good enough so i grounded it and the fuel pump came on. check grounds.

thanks i will double check grounds, and its not cranking and the fuel pump isn't turning on i guess because u should be able to hear it and i cant i know it probably not cranking cause it might be the clutch but im not too sure i will go check the grounds, would that be causing it to not turn on the car and the fuel pump??? thanks

I just read something on another forum and it might be your exact problem. Check the thermostat housing ground.

if you think it is possibly your clutch switch run a jumper wire from your relay to bypass it to check it before you go spending money on replacing it.

You jump the 2 pins on the wire harness that plugs into the clutch switch.
