Re: 1992 1995 civic hatch differences
Well, the one I took apart definately had the whole thing (IE wasn't just a swapped hatchglass, i've also seen several at the junkyard the same way) and i'm quite sure no one added it later, all the wiring was stock (I removed all harnesses in the car, they were clearly never tampered with)
I'm quite sure, but i'll try to positively confirm this weekend (I know someone who has a '92 CX, i'll try to get a look at his, I seem to recall it being vinyl though.
A friend of mine has one in her '92 Si, i'm next in line for it, those 3 spoke wheels are worth good money btw if you sell them on ebay.
As for the 3-prongers -- Worth $ on ebay? I wonder why? They're everywhere here up north. Why so special? 'Cause it looks "JDM"?
CXs I believe it was unavailable (I have yet to see even one that had even a driver's side airbag.) They may have been available on DXs (again I don't think i've ever seen one) They were available on a '93 Canadian LX sedan (seen it with my own eyes) And I believe EX-Vs had standard driver's side airbags for all years (not sure about passenger's side) I think all coupes had a standard driver's side airbag, and I think '94 - '95 models all had dual airbags (this includes the special editions) The oddball LX special edition sedans do not have airbags (I have actual documentation on this one in the form of the suplementary owners manual that came with the car) so far as I can figure out that its my guess that we got a few extra things thrown in to replace the lack of airbags (Special edition sedans are the same as US DX/Canadian LX sedan with the follow extra featues: clock, armrest, dual mirrors, door pockets, special stereo, vanity mirror, and possibly A/C. DX special edition coupes are a similar story, except they have dual body colored power mirrors [obscure fact: Teal DX special edition coupes have a black interior and they have an armrest]
DX Hatch: I have seen an airbag on a DX, and it was even a '92 or '93 as it did not have the hatch glass finger pull. (This was my salvage vehicle for the rear wiper.)
Si: Airbags likely standard starting in '93.
EX-V: Agree that the driver's airbag was standard. Wouldn't have a passenger airbag option as the model was only available in 1992.
...which brings me to my next question, though off-topic: I can't for the life of me sort out the trim lines for CDM sedans. I've seen LX's and EX's, and I know there were Special Editions in one/some years. I thought I saw somewhere that our EX's were the same as USDM LX's. Was there a DX here? See how it's confusing?

Re: 1992 1995 civic hatch differences
My '93 Si (the one I bought and just neglected to tell anyone about) has the airbag, still note really sure if it was optional or not, it also came with the factory rear speakers which aren't supposed to be standard in the Si until '94, so they may have been added as an option, airbag may have been the same way, really not sure)

Wow, yeah that is helpful.
Question: If Canadian CXs received the D15B7 motor - does that mean we also got the 45 litre gas tank (11.9 US gal)? I suspect we did. What about Canadian VXs? I know that US CXs and VXs got a 37.9 litre (10 gal) tank.

Re: 1992 1995 civic hatch differences
Its not complete yet, but its a start. Some of the info (especially on Canadian civics isn't very well documented at all.) It seems that in Canada you could at least to some degree pick and choose specific options instead of having to go up to the next trim level.
I also suspect we got the larger tank. Especially considering not only did the canadian CXs come with D15B7, they were also available with an automatic transmission (the automatic models were also equipped with power steering). They were in a lot of ways more similar to the US DX.
Other than the SRS I think they were identical to the US models

Updated my list on page 1 with some new info. Also, check out this thread for more interesting differences between Civics in many different markets: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-acura-28/oem-ej1-2-eg-rare-optional-parts-2485750/

List on page 1 updated again: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=15
New info: CDM 92 Civics had vinyl seats as a possibility (yech), mentioned pre-wiring for fog lights as of 94-95 models.

Re: 1992 1995 civic hatch differences
I want some hard evidence on whether or not which years came with black or color matched fog light inserts in the bumper. We are talking about the grill and not only the square-ish piece behind it right?
I have seen MANY '92 Si's with color matched side grills/inserts though. I have been trying to figure out when and if ever they came black from the factory.

Re: 1992 1995 civic hatch differences
digging up this thread because it looked like a good one!
I'm pretty sure the USDM 92 Si came with Black mirrors, since i have the original mirrors on mine, and they're black.
For reference, here's a Honda promo picture of a 92 hatch.
Note the black mirrors.
