1990 Honda Civic Hatch
Hi everyone, my son was just given a 90 Honda Civic hatch back. He wants to heat the engine up some. I have never worked on this type engine before and would like a bit or bunch of guidance. We need an engine plan that will work for this his first Rod. I have no idea where to begin, I have not been able to figure out which motor this car has in it, the net says 1.5L L4-FI, the intake manifold (I think) has Dual Point PGM-FI painted on it. Does anyone out there have any suggestions that might get us started in the right direction????? We have alot of experience with Chevys but this is a first for us....... We have asked questions everywhere and cant get any straight answers. The car will be used as a daily driver for a high school kid. I want it strong and dependable. I do want him to be able to turn heads at school with this little machine. We built our older son a 383 stroker for his high school ride and he had a blast and stayed out of trouble.
Thanks

if i were both of you i would read up on that it will help other than that i would buy the b16 engine which comes stock in your year car but in japan. But the car is known as honda civic sir its a pretty good engine producin 160hp and im sorry i forgot the torque but its good engine to start with for a beginner you can get an american b16 wich came stock in the 1999-2000 civic si instead of importing from japan im sorry if i cant answer everything im also learning about hybrids well i give you luck
