16inch rims w/ OK tires, or 14inch rims w/ great tires? What is difference in performance? (pics)
Hey guys,
I'm trying to decide whether or not to sell my 16s with Toyo Proxes FZ4s. I might pic up some HX rims so I can afford better tires: azenis or yoko A520s.
The 16s rub on turns (sometimes) and I want to be able to afford better tires! I also don't want to draw too much attention to my car.
Do you think HX wheels look too small on a 96 CX? Here are some cruddy pics of my car with the 16s and one with the 14 inch steelies that's on it now.
Would it be worth it to go from a 7" wide wheel to a 5.5" with better gripping tires?
Opinions are welcome!

My vote: better tires on the 14s.
if you run 14" steelies you can probably afford the ultimate street tire.. DOT approved Yokoham Advan AO32R from tirerack.. I did for one year and it was SWEEEEEEEEET! So you make the call, Advan is calling your name!

I also want the lightweight and really cheap price of the HX wheels....Rota's are almost double the price....
