Default 16" Tires

I'm looking at getting some Rota C8's for my 00 Si come spring and was wondering on what size tire to go with - 205/40/16 or 205/45/16. I like the looks of the 40 series tire but what are the pros and cons of both? Thanks in advance!

That is a nice wheel choice. (What I have - gunmetal)
I also have 205/45/16 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's that are all waiting to be mounted/balanced and put on my Eg

I personally went with 45's because that is the closest to OEM diameter.

if you get 40 series, your speedometer will be off, the wheel wont fill the fender well as good, and the rim will dent easier.

I agree. Go with the 45 series tire. I'm thinking of running a similar setup on my MR Si.

45 series tire is the correct size and you will offer better ride quality over a 40 series due to the extra sidewall.

How much will the speedometer be thrown off?? Any rubbing issues with a 45 series tire? Also, any recommendations on where to get good prices on Rotas?? Thanks again!

With a 205/45/16: -0.8%
With a 205/40/16: -4.2%

I just bought my Rotas from MachIII and they matched a price that I found cheaper.

Mach has them on their site for $500 shipped - what price did you find them for? What type of lugs are recommended for the Rota C8's??

I talked to 1201 Aeromotiv but they were out of stock. They quoted me $435 for 15" Slips shipped to my door. I emailed MachIII with the quote I had received and they matched the price and included hub centric rings. I also have Gorilla lug nuts and love them. They were only $20, which I like, and I have never heard of a stripped key like the Kyokugens.
