i would go with the polished slips if you can!!! especially on silver!, but then again the black slips would match your lip, side skirts and headlights... so idk man its 50/50.

true but that's what makes hondas so especial, you got many options unlike domestics, if you really think about it they all look the same sort of, when i had my ss as far as wheels the only thing i liked where the c6 vette rims.

15"x6.5" with 195/50/15 tires is what I would use.
My sol on those size Drag DR-23 wheels with falken ziex 512 tires
(sorry for so many pics, figure more angles gives you a better idea of what that size wheels/tires look like)
(and don't worry, I got rid of the ugly chrome valve caps... lol)

Re: 15 inch vs 16 inch wheels on a del sol
car looks good, what made you decide to go with 195/50's? This isn't my first del sol btw, I had a black one with polished slips as well 205/50, I've just been debating on if I wanted to get a bigger wheel for my new car when it gets out of the body shop.
heres a pic of my last del sol:
haha very true, I think that's what always brings me back to hondas. With Hondas and imports in general you can do things to your own style and be accepted by the community. I think the problem with domestics is too many old men and ignorant rednecks bash on you if you do anything different.

Re: 15 inch vs 16 inch wheels on a del sol
Thanks.
I went with the 195/50 because that's the size that gives you the same overall diameter as stock. Plus, you don't need 205mm treadwidth unless you're autocrossing or something like that. It's overkill for even a spirited DD'er. (at least on a del Sol).
205/50 and 195/55 are what gives you near stock diameter on an EK civic.

Re: 15 inch vs 16 inch wheels on a del sol
You can of course run that tire size no problem.
Basically, 195/50/15 is closest to stock overall diameter for del Sols and EGs, and 195/55/15 or 205/50/15 is closest to stock overall diameter for EKs.

15" look proportionally look better. Plus they are lighter and you get better handling performance compared to 16's. Tires would be much cheaper too.

anyways, my point is that if you can get more planted on the ground without any issues, why not?

Re: 15 inch vs 16 inch wheels on a del sol
nothing wrong with a 205mm width for a DD. The 10mm gives you better grip but does also make the steering a bit stiffer. I'm running a 205 width on all three of my cars and plan on running a 215/45/16 on my R for normal usage.

And i'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, i'm saying that it's just not necessary.
Plus, on a lowered del Sol with 205mm treadwidth and a sidewall height that makes the overall diameter of the wheel & tire closest to stock, it will rub in some way, shape, or form, regardless of the offset. I've been there and I know it will.
I had 17"x7" rims (yes, I know... don't worry, I hated them too) with 205/40/17's and a +40mm offset, and they rubbed the inside of the wheelwell around tight turns and the lip of the fender. I am lowered 1.8" front, 1.6" rear.
That being said, no matter what offset I was using, I would have rubbed with the 205mm treadwidth and closest-to-stock-diameter tires, because either direction changing the offset would have moved the rim may have eliminated rubbing on one side, but it would have made it worse on the other.
On a moderately lowered del Sol, 205mm treadwidth tires that are as close to stock as possible in overall diameter will rub in at least one way, regardless of the wheel's offset.
