i was going to get 16's on my hatch but desided on 15's. The 16 and + rims look better on coupes and sedans, i would say 15's are better on a hatch. IMO

i always rock 15's
but really, it's more about the tire than the rim.
you can get a 15" rim with 205-55-15 tires and have them look line inner tubes,
whereas a 195-50-15 or 205-45-15(super rare) would look great and very low profile!
same thing with 16's there are lots of sidewall sizes...

It depends on what kind of ride quality you're looking for also. The sidewall on a 195/50R15 or a 195/55R15 will have a lot more flex then a 205/40 or 205/45R16.. I just went through the same thing with my sol and I decided to go with 15's cause its what I'm going to be driving all summer

Depends on how you like to drive you car. I'm running 14s HX rims on 185-65-14 atm and the ride quality is a bit squishy, not that great for quick acceleration to overtake someone from a stand still, but they are 9.4 pounds each so amazing gas mileage and acceleration when rolling.
Compared to my old set of 16s slipstreams I had running 205-45-16, the handling was different. It gripped way harder and more responsive although it turns my acceleration and gas mileage to ****. They are around 16-17 pounds each rim for the slipstreams
If you want all around performance, get 15s. They are generally between 10-13 pounds each rim and has many tire selection. They make a nice drop too. I would recommend getting 195-55-15 or 205-50-15.

Re: 15 inch or 16inch?
thanks for everyone input!
yeah, i agree pretty much with what everyone said... i guess its just what each person prefers...
i would say 16 if not dropped too much... and 15's look clean slammed haha
and the sidewall not too thick on either...imo.

if you track you get a more wider selection of tires for the 16's and a decent selection for the 15's. for me i would rock some lightweight 15's spoons, regamasters, te37... and wrap them in the oh so affordable falken azenis. but if you could find some lightweight 16's then you would be able to clear most big brake setups (for the future) and be able to use a wider selection of rubber.
and if it just for a daily driver.... get some lightweight 15's for gas mileage and 15" tires are cheaper than 16" tires hands down.
