Default 14X6 wheels on EG civic, offset question...

Hi everyone! This is my first message here! Im writing from Italy and because of our strict laws i am forced to have 14 inch wheels on an EG hatch, any bigger and im in big trouble! I would like to buy Advan Racing's RCII in 14X6 4X100, but im not sure if the 35mm offset would be ok, as this is my first car and i am absolutely not an expert on wheels.. My car is lowered by about 3 inches, and I have 185/60 r14 tires.
Can I safely buy these wheels?

Thanks a lot!

I think most people here only run stock 14's, hx's and such. Try getting ahold of advan

I think a 35mm offset would stick the wheel way out the fender well. I would recommend 20mm or lower so that it tucks in. This are my "estimates" and my opinions, others may vary....

you have it backwards. a +35 will tuck the wheel more inward than +20 offset wheels. a +35mm offset wheel will work just fine on a 14x6. you can even run a +25 offset if you want.

Thanks but is it the same if it is 35 and not +35?
Oh, and what do you mean highroller try getting ahold of advan? aren't they any good?
I really wanted the RG but it seams it is not in production any more because they made the RG2, which starts from 15" , damn! The SSR Type C is also really cool i think but I cant find much info on it...
But if a 35mm works just like the +35 then i will probably go for the RC2, i found them on vividracing at a reasonable price

there are positive and negative offsets. most commonly, you will only hear about positive offsets because there are not many cars that still use 0 or negative offsets. it is safe to assume when people say 35 offset, it is a +35 mm offset.

Thanks, actually I think I've changed my mind on the Advans, I found SSR's website and I will try to buy the Type C. With 185/60 R14 tires do I need the 14 X 5.0J or the 14 X 6.0J?

Thanks.

get the 6 or 6.5 if they have it. don't use the 5 inch, it will fit bad and look like crap.

i don't know where you are located, but if you are in the so cal area, try discount tire in the valley mall , el monte, ca. you can put different tires on different size wheels, there is an acceptable range for each mix. you can even stretch 14x7 if you want and still use 185/60r14 if you want...but it comes close to the limit.

92 yes if it has the smaller brakes... if it has the 10 inch brakes, i dunno...but i think it could because a ls sedan integra has 14 inch and it has 10 inch brakes... EM1, i don't know. offset and width is find, brake clearance is the problem.

Hi all, I found a site called JDM Yard, they could ship a set of SSR Type C to Italy, so it would be great for me! Does anybody know this website? Is it safe?

They have them in:

gunmetal/bronze/white
+25 +30 +38
