12 volts to 3 volts with the turn of a key.-Please Help!
my 94 hatch wont start. When I turn the key to crank position the voltage drops from 12v to 3v. Im guessing there is a short somewhere.
The fuel pump does NOT turn on when key is ON since problem started.
I checked all my fuses in cabin and under hood.
I replaced the ignition harness and switch.-same problem.
I then swapped out the ingnition relay.-same problem.
My local honda dealer suggested to start unplugging parts so I unplugged distributor, airbags, fuel pump to try to narrow down the huge current draw. NO LUCK.
This happened a month or so ago but then started working again.-What the hell?
I previously had the starter and battery tested thinking it was the prob. Both tested fine.
ANY SUGGESTIONS SHORT OF ROLLING IT OFF A CLIFF WOULD HELP!

PLug your alarm back in... Most likely that there is a Kill switch some where in there.

When this happened about a month ago I totally stripped the alarm and the main harness had been cut and hacked so I soldered everything back together and taped it up. When I put it all back together, the car started. Im not sure what I did but I assumed it had something to do with ignition. So this time around I replace the whole ignition cylinder, harness, and swapped out the relay.
I did not put the alarm back in when it started working again.
