Default 12.9-12.5V system voltage with engine running

I have a question for you guys. With your tuck harnesses, what kind of system voltage are you guys seeing with your harnesses.. I have a chasebays cm2 harness, and I think the alternator wire for the harness may be to small.. I'm seeing about 12.9-12.5 and even 12.0-11.7 sometimes with my accessories on(stereo, fogs, and headlights).. The voltage is supposed to be around 14.0-13.8, with the car running..

I changed my alternator already, due to the voltage regulator going bad and the system was being overcharged.. I replaced my battery also, just wanted to see what kind of voltage you guys were seeing with your tuck harness..

You MUST provide all pertinent information about your car and engine. Failure to do so may result in thread closure.

Title changed to summarize tech problem.

Have you checked whether fuse 15 is blown?

When you turn the key to ON(II), does the charge system warning light in the cluster turn on?

mine charges the same as stock with my tucked harness u must have a problem. the alternator wire goes straight to the fuse box. trace your wires and check it out.

That's a problem. Turn the key to ON(II) and check whether both top test tabs of fuse 15 have battery voltage to body ground.

The fact that the charge light does not turn on suggests that the alternator is not getting voltage from fuse 15. If so, the alternator won't charge.
