Re: 1 piece header? (teknik_civic)
If j00 get a one piece header, chances are good the weight will be very minimal, meaning mounting it from underneath will essentially easier, just a matter of angles...But that`s just my opinion..

Re: 1 piece header? (Sin 2)
depends on the car your putting it in. I had a 1pc light speed header in my old CRX that you had to finesse to get it in. My DC 4-1 pc installs into my Del Sol like cake.
what car is it going in?

It really does depend on the car. For example a one piece header is little more of a hassle to install on a B16 in a CRX, but very easy to put on a 93 CX w/a B16, because of the amount of room.

Re: 1 piece header? (rodrez)
I say get the 2 peice just incase you have to pull your oil pan if for no other reason. Having to pull off your header to get the oil pan off would suck!!

Pulling off your header is a ridiculously easy task... 9 12mm's and 2 14mm bolts w/12mm nuts???? maybe I'm wrong... but isn't a 1pc a superior design? (ex: itr stock exhaust mani)

how sad
you have to be under the car with EITHER header. how are you going to connect it to the exhuast if you aren't? you're not
a 4-1 is better....it's lighter. it also doesn't have to worry about the area where the two sections would be bolted together. That can casue turbulance or a restriction.
ohh, and DC headers are cheap **** that really don't make much power, other than the 2.5" collector one. and if 2 piece was better...then the big companies like headertech, an-r, dtr, etc... would use a 2 piece instead of the 1 piece that all go with

Hahaha, maybe for the mechanically challenged.
I got my 1 piece DC header on my 93 Civic from the top. 1 little scratch that wasn't even noticeable.

Re: (D16Z6racing)
I have an Apex'i GT Spec 1 piece header, and it wasn't hard at all to put in...but it helped that I work at an Xpress Lube and I didn't have to jack the car up to put it in...
