Default 1.6 distributor question

is it possible to put the distributor on 180 degrees off? it seems to sit on the cam very easily one direction and i can force it on the other way but it doesn't seem right.

i just swapped the motor in and it won't fire at all. it just cranks and cranks. i have fuel up to the rail.

180 degrees off? check your timing and make sure its set at TDC if it is then the dizzy should only be able to go on 1 way. u have gas, but do you have spark?

don't know about the spark. i assumed so since it would start on starting fluid, barely.

what's starting fluid? never heard of it. is the check engine light on? you should jump the ecu to get the check engine code then check from there.
