Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but i have been offered a ek 1.5 sohc vtec economy? Can anybody tell me anything about them? Thanks

you mean someone gave you that motor? If so, don't even bother with it....if your intention is about performance.

No no ive been offered it as a swap for my car, its a full car, 1999 ek 1.5 sohc vtec eco

yes, they are are economical

toothpicks for rods, never worth building, always better to swap out for atleast a z6 or y8 if you have any sort of performance goals

i had a z1/z6 mini me and it held up 8 psi for years . strong toothpicks.

the heads are completly different but are good designs if you were to build, they also have aluminum alternator brackets that are only on vtec-e cars.. i think they are cool i still have mine. lol
