1.5 Manual bolt to 1.7?
I have a 2001 Civic 1.7 litre with a Automatic transmission. Will a manual transmission from a earlier model 1.5 Civic bolt to my engine? Please help!

No it will not, it's a completly different setup. The transmission on your 2001 1.7 is on the opposite side of our earlier engine bays. My advise is to find a tranny and all manual-swap related parts from a 2001+ civic. Nothing else will work properly.

little OT and not meaning to thread jack, but is it possible to run a 1.7 in an eg or ek? i believe the 1.7 has a non-return fuel line but that's easily bypassed with a fpr correct?

Re: (ntogethernow)
If a K-series swap is possible into an EG or EK, the 1.7 could work too, but for all the money you'd have to spend on mods to get it to fit and run in the EG or EK, you might as well save a few hundred more and get the K-series.

maybe if you race it in reverse!
no problably no chance of it fitting,
just get the same year (style) and go with that.
