the other set of butterflies you have in your manifold are staying open because of the ecu you're using

Re: (yurpduckie)
gsr intake manifold has two sets of IAB's, if you rev your engine up you'll proabably notice a sound change at 4400 rpms, that's vtec kicking in, then at 5800 rpms is the secondary butterfly openging up, which is even more noticeable. try and get a P72 GSR ecu if you can.

i have a p72 ecu but its obdII and when i plug it up.. the engine starts up and dies.. i heard its the "immobilizer" thats doing it.. and some1 suggested getting an obd1 conversion

Re: (yurpduckie)
that's most likely what happened, i had that exact same problem in my car when i tried to use an obd2 P72 ecu. obd2 seriously gives you headaches, if i were you i would convert to obd1 because you'l save so much trouble in the long run.
