Not everyone is after a fast 1/4 mile time. And if his car came with the stock motor, I'm sure the ITR motor is much more fun.

A buddy of mine has a 92-95 DX I believe with a R swap. Full interior and he goes 13.7 with a b16 trans and with the itr trans he went 13.5s. i/h/e. Open up the exaust a little bit, put the timing back to whatevers stock 16btdc i think and run it again. My buddy has an LS swap in his coupe with just intake and exaust he goes 14.8. Some how his distro fucked up and retarded 2 degrees and he started to run consistent 15.1-15.3. Fixed his timing and hes back at 14.8

True... good point....

Well, I think if you got 14.0 - 14.6, I'd say that's pretty good. A friend in my club has a 99 Civic Si, with vortec supercharger, with DC header and A'pexi N1 exhaust, Vtec controller AEM cam gears, and a few other goodies... he dynoed at 235 at the wheels. He only ran 14.6 slipping through 3 gears. So I'd say with 170 HP at the wheels, you're doin alright if you're best time was 14.0.

dude, get a hiflo cat right now

wtf, just get one off ebay, you can get one for under 50bux shipped

was that 175whp with the clogged cat?
and why dont you just fix your timing right now also? it takes like 5minutes if you've done it before.

but yeah, you should be in the 13's with 175whp might not yeild 13's, but def a low 14 is ok.

get all the boltons free up that cat, fix your timing, dump some weight out of your car, and you should be running 13's ez

also, your mph says you should be running faster,
could be your clutch is shitting out also?

Or just run open header at the track. That's free and will help to get your times down. Your 60' time is a little high at 2.3 also.

Sounds like a few things. A clogged exhaust will definitely hurt you. The JDM 4-1 header with a 2.5" cat or test pipe and good flowing exhaust should help alot. Also your 60 times need to improve. Without a doubt you can make a high 13 sec pass. Take some weight off your pigish SI and times will drop even more..

Sure isn't. I'd say invest in some slicks and drive the way you are now and you'll hit low 13's: pull that 2.3 down to a 1.8 and you just lost a second .

Of course, fixing the clogged cat issue and tossing some boltons in the engine bay wouldn't hurt either. The ITR loves big cams too...
