0bd2 civic with obd1 b16 swap problem
finished up a swap on monday, obd2 civic with a obd1 b16. car was a dx so i had to extend the tps sensor wires. used the obd1 distributor and repinned the plug, hard wired knock and all vtec components to a obd1-obd2 extension harness soldered the wires into the harness also converted the iacv harness to 2 wire by cutting the orange wire and soldering it into the obd1 plug. hmotors took the tps sensor off so they could say it didn't have any broken sensors, and the knock sensor was broken off at the connector. spark plug were sitting in water where they steamed the motor too.
besides all that everything went perfect. started the car up on monday and it idles okay. and by okay i mean just okay. as soon as i give it gas it crackles and chokes out. if i let it run for a couple of minutes it will just choke itself out eventually. i took this one step at a time and if i had any questions i searched, but i am stumped. i have noticed there are two diagrams for the distributor conversion so i am questioning that but i used the one that everyone said worked and not the boomslang one. the car currently has no o2 sensor, tps is jacked up, and no knock sensor. none of that should keep it from running should it?

update now the car doesn't choke out but it backfires really bad when you give it any gas. idles really rough though. i took the obd2 to obd1 conversion off and put the dx sohc ecu back in the car. started it up and it let me give it a couple of revs then started doing the same crap.
