07 Si steering wheel in my 00 EK hatch....pics
When I started my project I told myself that I wanted to try and do some things differently with the car.....subtle differences from what I had already seen. Well this weekend I started on one of those changes. Here are a few snaps of my 07 Si steering wheel in my 00 hatch. Steering wheel is about 3" smaller than the stock wheel and is leather wrapped. I dont think I've seen this done before so I wanted to post it. Matches nicely IMO!

one set is for radio controls and the other is cruise....i have neither. wiring is present...im sure the cruise could be put together
im wanting to possibly mold an s2000 start engine button on one side instead of the control buttons...only problem is the depth of the button...hmmm

Do us a favor and write-up any significant changes or obstacles you ran into. That's pretty sweet

I imagine the airbag does not work, since new USDM civics are 2-stage, and an EJ/EK is single-stage. Someone did actually do a writeup on how to wire a 2-stage airbag for deployment on single-stage SRS modules. It has, however, not been tested, since he's not willing to deploy his own airbag.
Did the splines fit, or did you cut out a 6g spindle from the wheel cage and weld it back in?
