02 sensor not working?

02 sensor not working?
i have a 98 civic with a lsv turbo and im trying to hook up my af gauge and the lights dont seem to move. my power and ground is good and the purple wire is connected to the thick white wire ecu side. im trying to get this gauge working for the wideband for tuning. i get cel 41 but my o2 sensor is good?! i changed that sensor.

Hope you dont have the HX with the seven wire o2 sensor you will have to change the engine harness, make sure you didnt accidently splice into another sensor circuit to ground because this will send a signal to the ecu for the primary 02 heater circuit failure code 41.

You need a multimeter. Did you check whether the heater element gets voltage? Have you checked the wires for a short or open? What is the resistance of the heater element?

If your tuned with a turbo, you shouldnt need your O2 sensor hooked up to your ECU anyways. (depending on the tuning program)
But, since i dont know your set up, Leave the OE sensor where it is, weld in another bung for the wideband, and run the wideband sensor directly to the gauge.

can the 02 make the car not pass 6k?? sometimes it does sometime it dont. and idk if vtec is even opening up?!?! what cel can make the car not engage vtec?????
im noob guys sorry.
