02 EX or 00Si
I need your opinons on what car I should get.
Right now I have a 2002 ex coupe that I bought new but it has no potential so I was thinking about selling it and getting a 99-00Si. I was woundering if you thought it would be a good idea to sell a new car that only has 7,000 miles for a older car b/c this is going to be my only car.

Get the SI...
Ive had the opportunity to drive one for a few weeks since my car has been gone and while I waited to find a new one...I love it...Just a lowered 00 SI with AEM Intake and its so fun to drive...
I say get the Si...you will be happy

In my area, I've seen most used '99-'00 Si's go for more than a brand new EP3 Si. I got mine for about 1.5k less than a used Si, and the performance differences are not that bad once the K-series begins getting tuned more by a wider range of aftermarket companies. But I still love the sound of vT3cH in the '00 a hell-of-alot more than my car

Go with the Si!! I got mine about 2.5 months ago and haven't regretted it at all. Its such a bad *** little car to drive everyday.
Plus all the girls think the "blue is so pretty!" Eh, well, it is compared to my old primered Integra.

Why? Care to explain your opinion? I'm just interested in hearing why people don't like the EP3.
I personally think it's an excellent vehicle. It's highly practical, has an incredible interior, and more potential than the EM1 - not to mention it can run on 87 octane rather than premium.

ok, i would be happy to share my opinion. and yes i am fully aware that it is only my opinion. i just dont like the car. i wish that honda would have kept it in a coupe stlye like the 99-00 EM1's. the EP3 interior is very nice i admit that, but i dont like the exterior AT ALL. and the little Insight tires arent doing much for me. I would have liked to see a higher revving motor than the K20, because i think a trademark of Vtec is a higher rpm engagement, the 6800 rpm redline just isnt enough for me i guess. They are kinda torqey too, i think that if they are gonna have the same hp and that much more torque that Honda should have changed things such as the tires and the exterior to make it an all around more aggressive looking car. i know people are gonna flame me for this and dont really care, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. so go with what u want, my choice would be an EM1 still..

I agree w/everyone else, the 00si is the way to go performance wise. However ditching a brand new car to buy an older one is not a very good choice financially. You stand to loose several thousand dollars on the value of your car. Add the money that you will lose onto the price of the '00SI and ask yourself if it is still worth it.

Not true at all, I see new Si's selling for just a little bit more than a 1999-2000 Si.

Re: 02 EX or 00Si (GetawayinMoscow)
ok this is just my opinion also...i sold the ep3 at a honda dealership for 10 months...the thing is pure crap. i-vtec thats girl vtec!! or grandma vtec...second low reving...wtf who thought this idea up ....civic = high reving low displacement engine...hmm well third the ep3 is slower than the em1. ep3 has a super nice interior no doubt i would luv to put those seats in my em1. second k series swap..do these guys have unlimited funds or somethign( going for the 50K civic that runs 14s?) cuz if u do i got some projects that need some funding. engine swaping ain't cheap...next the exterior of the ep3 is fugly. its like a mix between fucus and older hatch wit no power. ok now back to the i-vtec y u think type r gonna come wit normal vtec there is no growl from i-vtec and honda realized they made huge mistake peeps don't buy si for economy ...its the vtec growl.... if u bought the ep3 for economy wtf were u thinking...buy a hi-bird ( 4dr hybrid) and who the hell can justify spending 20K for a stock civic? (thats the msrp for the car) and i got my 00si for 14K so let think...and also em1 gonna hold its value better than ne newer civic (hx,dx,lx,ex,si, and hibird) the car is the creme of the crop for U.S. civics type r is great but u gotta buy 100% jdm if u go that way. seriously drive a stock em1(don't think there r many left) and stock ep3 (not many modded) and u will alwayz pick the em1 unless u r crazy....this is just my opinion of 10 months of test drives in the ep3 and daily driving the em1
