00si rear discs on 92cx?(rear disc conversion, e-brake cables)
Sorry about the funny title, just a late night thought that if we
made them(the titles) more discriptive it would be a lot less easyier
to search.
In the mean time, while im trying to find the answer in the
search, please help me out. Or you could help me search.
99si rear discs are going to be put on my 92cx. Im thinking
they will bolt up fine, but im also thinking that I will need to
get new ebrake cables right? If so, what models will work?

you will have to get the e-brake cables for the 92-95 civic si, or ex with rear disc brakes.

Long story short, ill end up making money off of them. I don't spend
much money on my car.

Not to jack your thread or anything, But What about a 89 integra e brake cable with rear disc? Going onto a 95 ex with rear drums. Converting to rear disc.

From what most people say you need to get the cables that would come
on your chassis. But im wondering if thats really true. I would start on mine
but its going to be dark in about an hour and I have school in the morning.
Looks like I need 9, and 13. That will be about 90$, more then I want to spend.
but airshifta claims that his 99 gsr rear disc bolted up, and that they are
the same as a 00si, im hoping he's right. (crosses fingers)

Re: (elwood)
i dont see why it wouldn't work.. arent they the same as tegs? im sure you can use the stock ebrake cables.. it doesn't take more than an hour to get both bolted up and like 15 mins to bleed.. test it out first.. my rear brakes bolted up and the lines fit fine..

Re: (eli_vang)
It would help if you told us what the discs were from, and
what you put them on.
its 12 degrees out side and I dont have a garage, or any
pavement. It takes a good 20 min. to jack my car up.

if you're talking about our 95 CIvic, then yes. 99-00 rear assemblies bolt right up on the EG, and the ITR LCA's are a direct replacement, along with the shocks
