Icon2 00 si power steering problem?

hey guys, so today on my way to work, i noticed a screeching sound whenever i turned right. I thought it was the brakes because i was slowing down also. So later that day I changed my brake pads(had to do it anyway) and it went away for a couple of days. But today the noise came back. the sound is the same sound when your brake pads are down to the metal and your braking. I hate that noise and its starting to annoy me. my only guess is that its the power steering. could it be something else?

Check for bent wheel splash guards that may be rubbing on the brake rotor.
