Default 00 si in limp mode?

So I got my car up and running again since I bought my new ecu. My problem is that it seems like it's in limp mode. I tried 2 different ecu's, a chipped P06 and P72. It redlines at 4000rpms with bought ecus. I'm wondering what the problem might be. Any help is appreciated, thanks!!

You need to get the correct ECU since neither of those is it unless you have a swap or other mods you're not mentioning.

I know those aren't the right ecu's. I plan on doing some work to the block so i converted it to obd1.

any CEL's? chipped p06 converted to vtec should work just fine with the correct b16 ROM.

1st of all redline at 4k sounds like igniter or dizzy prob. i had a car that did the 4k **** myself and replaced igniter and then ran fine. 2nd why would doin block work make u convert to obd1 out of curiousity? tuning reasons?

does it do the same with the stock ECU?
if it does ignitor or coil will cause this.
If it doesn't then it's something wrong with the ECU, OR they have launch control enabled at 4k.
