Default 00 Si Key Fob Compatibility

Hello all ,

Just bought me a clean EM1 with a stock keyless entry system ...I am wondering if I can buy another key fob to program it . I have read a few threads but none of them was mentioned what compatible or what not . What are my options here ? I also checked the FAQ too but no luck . What I found was only the instruction how to program it and that's it . Can you guys shed some light on it ?

Ron ,

Thank you for the quick response but is that the only option that will work with my EM1? How about the other model ? Accord , CL , Integra ? It's hard to believe the Honda Tech cover almost every parts related to the car but I spent almost 30 mins just to search for Key fob compatibility and none of the was found !!!

Place your question into perspective. Why don't you want to use the remote designed for your Civic?

It's not that I don't want to use the one that is made for my civic but just want to know what are the other options ? In case that you can't find the one that designed for the civic ...

?

The remote for your car can be purchased new or used from many online businesses (e.g., eBay post above) or even at your local Honda dealer.

I wanna try this too.

what is the technology behind an em1's keyless entry? Radio frequency, right? Will a different/newer models remote lock/unlock be able to transmit the same frequency?
