00 si ecu codes...

Default 00 si ecu codes...

i searched and can't make any sense out of the codes that were listed. where can i get a full list of these newer model year codes?

i believe i am throwing a #6 and either #56 or #65????

ok...so i think i my have found the answer...just wanted to double check though...

code #6 ECT Sensor (Engine Coolant Temperature)...is this it?


code #65 Oxygen Sensor Heater (Secondary)...kinda figured that due to the fact that i do not have on hooked up

Did you just finish your swap? Do you have vtec right now?

well i never had it with my previous motor, but i DO here this kinda loud whistling sound that i assume is vtec at around 4-4500...is that it?

Probably not, seeing as a stock Civic Si vtec engages past 5k RPM.

Anyway, what I think you did is switched the ECT and the Vtec pressure switch... or the vtec solenoid. I forget which one that sensor matches.

In any case, try and switch them around. That should fix your problem if you actually have a code #6.

the rpm might be a little bit higher than i mentioned...i am still freaking out everytime i drive my car(my first swap) would anyone be able to get some close up shots of the location of these two sensors(ECT and the Vtec solenoid...i know some one is bored enough to grab some shots for me.

The ect sensor is directly under the vtec solenoid. You'll notice that the plug for the vtec pressure switch is the same exact style plug. They are very close to each other, so the chances of getting them mixed up is very high. Like I said before, switch them around, then reset your ecu. That should fix the problem if in fact you have a code 6
