I know a b18c1 motor has regular threads not reverse, and i do remember using a decent sized snap-off breaker bar to get mine off. I'm sure its just really tight. keep wrenching on it and you'll get it.

You need a bigger impact wrench. Ours is a Craftsman 3/4" 700 ft. lb. mated to a 33 gallon compressor, and it never has the slightest difficulty removing crank pulley bolts.

I'm going to follow the typical EG/EK forum trend and reply even though multiple responses with the same solution have already been made....
Lefty loosely. Counterclockwise.

You need a stronger gun. I was using a 275 ft pounder the other day got pissed off because I would have to loosen stuff with the breaker bar first. Went out and bout a 750ft pounder and that breaks bolts loose no problem...

meh, all you need to do is take a piece of 1/4" rebar (buy some for like les sthan $1 at lowes)....
Take out a 3lb sledge (must be METAL), and square it up on the bolt and give it a few HARD wacks (making sure it's square).
It'll free the bolt up by vibrating the bolt (similar to an impact gun or impact driver), as it's not really on that tight so much as it's 'stuck' due to being jerked around so much by the engine.
After that, spray tons and tons and tons of penetrating oil (read: not wd-40, penetrating oil. OR PB blaster will work too, same thing)...
Hit it with any 1/2" impact gun a few times (may take you several times, first time it took me about 15 minutes) ...and it'll come right off.
It's just a PITA. especially if it hasn't been removed anytime fairly recently. DO NOT use a breaker bar as you risk breaking the pulley or the bolt.

Re: (Wrench_Si)
Because of all the horror stories that I heard about the crank pulley bolt being so difficult to remove, I drove my car to the local shop and had them put their largest impact on it. They broke it loose and retightened it back to stock spec for me at no charge. All you have to do it steer the tire away and the gun will fit in and it only took 30 seconds, literally. I did buy them pizza the next day for lunch to show my appreciation.
When I got home, I used a half inch breaker bar and it came back off like butter so I could swap out the timing belt.
