Default 00 Hatch weight... any guesses??

Hey guys I am curious what you think my 00 hatch weighs with the H22 motor in it. I am going to weigh it tonight if I can get on the scale but I am jsut curious cause the car didnt seem to perform at the drag strip. I figured the car should do low 14s with the jdm h22, anr header, intake, p28 computer. but the fastest I could run was 15.2 at 89mph. Which is terrible. I had a turbo B16 hatch that I ran high 11s with low 12s all day and I knew this wasnt gonna be that but still am dissapointed..

Later..

I am wondering weight.. I would guess around 168hp/152ft lbs.. That is what my roomates stock motor did anyway so somewhere in there. 15in Te-37s with azenies. traction didnt seem so bad other than in first it just didnt run a time all day...

CX weighs 2359, and DX weighs 2388 according to honda's '00 civic brochure, but thats without driver and with full tank of gas, and all fluids filled to correct levels. So I guess figure out how much your d-series weighed, and figure out how much your H22 weighs and add the difference

HAHA that is close.. It weighed 2400 with a full tank of gas. Spare tire nothing gutted. That was better than what I thought it would be. I was just hoping it would be close to the 2400 mark..

Any ideas why the times are so slow?? I know that is a vauge question but my only guess is the P28 chiped puter it is running.. would like to have a stock one minus some of the sensors

any idea why my h22 wouldnt pull it through the 1/4 any faster than 15.2 that seems about a second off the pace. Traction wasnt too bad first spun a bit but after that it was fine..

Thanks
Mike

No offense taken to the better drive comment but my 15.2 pass was the best I made and I thought it was me also so I let a guy make 5 passes in it and his best was like 15.4 and he normally drives a low 11 sec car.. I think we found my problem being that my car is in limp mode due to a vtec CEl. It still feels good but should be alot faster than 15s I would think..

i suck at driving. my car was capapble of hitting high 12's, but that was with me not driving. if i drove, it would be like a low-mid 13.

I didnt do the swap I bought this car from a guy on honda tech.. Vtec sometimes kicks in sometimes it doesnt seem to. I am sure that it has to do with wiring and also computer choices.. right now it has a P28 that is chipped in it and I dont think that is correct.. I put in a P13 but right away throws cel for EGR.

I know what I am doing with the swaps I have swapped 3 other hatches all with B16s that were my personal cars and worked on many that we have done at our shop. It is just tough to start fixing when you didnt personally do it all..

what car went 12s ?? an Eg hatch with H22??

Any help on my topic would be great.. P28 pin out?

If you have 168hp/152ft lbs in a 2400lb civic with a good driver and are pulling 15.2-15.4s something is definitely wrong.

that is what I am saying..

Mine so far hasnt done the 168/152 an employee of mind did his same motor and everything and that is what his dynoed bone stock. on a p13..

mine has an Anr header and then that chipped p28 which I dont like one bit but I hvae to get it running as good as it can be.. doenst throw a CEl all the time unless it sits and runs for a while but I checked the codes and it throws like 6-10-22 or something like that.. one of those is vtec oil pressure switch... So I am guessin it is in safe mode but I dont like to tinker with it I just wnat to know where to look and how the heck to get it right....

How did he manage those times with just basic bolt ons?? Any weight reduction?? Slicks??
Even then I don't think you could pull that off, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you have the time slip?

Unfortunately I dont he ran it 2 years ago before he sold it but youve go to think about it. 2300lbs 220hp 160 pounds of torque basic bolt ons, bad *** driver...At the time i lived in FL Ive been told cars run faster in diff places cuz of that whole sea level thing (im retarted lol Im not to sure about how that works LOL) N e ways I have tons of rfriends back in fl that run unbeliveable times with swapped hatches and ther are those who you jsut wonder about.

right now I am rewiring my swap cause it is in safe mode right now cause of some Vtec codes. I am guessing when it is done and runnin 13s are in sight.. it ran 15.2 with no vtec basically and in safe mode..

As for times I have even heard of 12s in gutted hatches with the h22 and I think that is possible cause my friend has my old 92 dx hatch with a B18a in it and runs 14.5s on the stock *** old motor on street tires.. so I will have way more hp than that thing.. with a 50 shot he runs 13.4s
