Default 00 EX rear disc conversion - questions

I want to change the drums I have in the back to dics brakes. I have an opertuniy to buy all this for 300.

"Ill sell you the trailing arms, rear rotors, all 4 calipers, front slotted and drilled rotors, front camber arms/control arms, brake master cylinder, and prop valve all for $300 its a STEAL all these parts are clean and werent beat on. Car had low mileage too and all calipers have good brake pads with lots of life left in them. This is the whole conversion as a complete package deal the only thing you'll need is ebrake cables THATS IT!!!"

What you guys thinks??? Are the GSR front calipers and rotors bigger then what I have on my car now?? Is this worth it to get all this for 300? or should I just buy the rear trailing arms for 100?? tried searching on here and google. even saw the tread on here about it, but it just confused me.

Sorry if this has been broght up already, but need to let him know what I'm gonna do really quick..

thanks

No, EXs have the same front brakes as a '94 - '01 integra. The EX should also already have the proper prop valve and master cylinder.

Thats a pretty reasonable price, I think I pain $125 for mine, but they had almost brand new pads and rotors on them and they had the parking brake cables. Try to get the rubber flex hoses with them btw, you can't reuse your old ones and flex hoses aren't all that cheap if i recall.

The flex hoses or flex lines connect to the metal hard lines on the chassis and go to the calipers, theres one on each side. cars with rear discs use completely different flex hoses. No you don't need a 4040 prop valve. Yes you need Si e-brake cables, pretty much any '88 - '00 civic or '90 - '01 integra with rear discs should work actually. but if your buying new go with '99 - '00 Si cables. Oh heres a writeup, its actually right in the '92 - '00 FAQ Index https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=641639

From the angle of the picture I really can't tell. But if you look at them its basically a rubber hose coming off each caliper about 2 feet long. make sure they aren't cut or missing.

Price the flex hoses, see exactly what they are worth, $100 isn't a bad price if the pads and rotors are good and the wheel bearings are good. The biggest thing is to make sure that the calipers aren't seized, those are expensive if you can't get them freed up, a friend of mine had to replace both one year, it seems to me they were something like $200 each for rebuilt calipers, with core. From the pic the trailing arms look to be in good shape, even the dust shields are in good shape, mine were rotted off before i got mine so I have none. Anyway, price some flex hoses and then decide what you want to do.
