00 ex fuel pump taking to long to prime
When im going to start the car after its been off for hours the fuel pump takes a lot of time to prime , what could be causing this?

Mine does this when the fuel level is below 1/2. I replaced the fuel pump with a Denso because the mileage was high, and this is my work commuter. I figured the pump was about to go out. But the new one does it too. When I inquired about it on the forum, consensus was that it's a normal condition for these cars. After a year with the new pump, it still does it, and it still works fine.
If it takes a really long time or always does it, there is a check valve built into the pump that should hold pressure in the line when the car is off. It's part of the pump, the only way to get around it is to replace the pump.

Try sanding and tightening the G101 ground on the thermostat housing.
If that doesn't help, swap in a known good ECU to see if the problem goes away.
