00 civic won't start after auto to manual tranny swap
I need some help with my 00 civic ex. It was auto but i took my engine, engine harness, trans and ecu out of my 96 civic lx and converted it to manual. I soldered the three wires together to trick it into thinking its in park already. So now it will try to start but wont. I checked the fuse and pgm-fi relay to the fuel pump and they're getting power but the fuel pump wont come on. So i hot wired the fuel pump and the injectors arent pulsing. Also when i turn the key to the on position with the engine off, the check engine light doesnt come on with the other dash lights. I was told that means it's not reading the ecu? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Does the starter crank the engine?
Reverse the hot wired main relay and check whether the G3 transmission ground and the G101 ground on the thermostat housing are clean and tight.

Ok. yes the starter does crank the engine. Those two grounds are clean and tight. Can you explain how to reverse the hot wired main relay? Im not too good with electrical. Also is it ok to use the engine harness from my 96 civic?

there are a few differences in the pin outs from obd2a-b, if you swap the harness you should be golden

so i put the 00 harness back in the car and converted the distributor and the car still won't start. I don't think the car is detecting the ecu

I have spark no fuel. The fuel pump is good, the fuel pump fuse is getting power, the pgm-fi relay is good and getting power but its not getting power to the fuel pump and the injectors arent getting a signal. When i turn the key to the on position all the lights come on except for the cel.
