Default 00 Civic - I want my Fuel gauge to drop to E with key off

Hello, within a few days I wonder if It possible to change a fuel gauge that it will works only when the ignition is ON?

I mean, ignition (key) off - fuel gauge falls down:

Next, ignition (key) on - gauge shows the value of fuel:

I hope that I clearly explained what I mean.

Assuming that the swapped gauge is not designed to drop to E with key off, the gauge is bad.

What do you mean by change? You can replace it.

I don't want to change the gauge, I want to improve it that the fuel gauge will be working as I wrote in 1 post:

Improve? Are you saying that your gauge isn't broken? If it is supposed to work like the USDM gauge, it is broken and you either need to replace it or live with it.

So in the USDM gauges after turning off the ignition the fuel gauge falls down?

No, it retains the reading.

I want to change it that after the ignition switched off, gauge will falls down (like in other cars or gauges in 7th generation of Civic). Is it possible?

You'll need to replace the gauge.

I edited your thread title to reflect the topic of your thread.

Not that I'm aware of. The gauge was designed to operate as it does.

Get an s2k gauge, falls to zero everytime you key off.

My first thought is you could hook up a delay relay that will power the gauge itself (not the whole cluster) for X seconds to let the gauge fall to E and a normal relay that disconnects the fuel gauge sender from the gauge so it will go to E. U could acoplish the same thing with a couple small relays and a micro controller on a small 1" square board.

In theory, this^ would likely work, though the OP would need to figure out how exactly to accomplish it and then decide whether replacing the gauge with one that has the function built in is an easier and/or less expensive solution.

^ True. Both are viable options. Replacing the whole cluster, however, would likely not retain an OEM look. And a relay-based solution would also be difficult as the indicator is not as-built to drop precipitously as the OP likely wants (think how slow it creeps up after a fill-up).

If instead of the fuel gauge insert everything from the temperature gauge?
