Icon2 '00 Civic Ex Transmission

I drive a 2000 Civic EX Sedan (automatic), and the transmission has been starting to slip for a while now. I am starting to look into options, and was hoping to get some opinions here. What would be the cheapest way to go about fixing this..

having the transmission rebuilt, buying a new automatic transmission, or swapping a manual transmission in?

I would love to swap a manual in, but I don't know how realistic that would be. Anyone able to give me estimates for these options? Thanks.

Swap. You'd probably have to do this yourself. I doubt any shop would take on that task. There should be something in the FAQs.

Most people want to swap in a manual transmission, so you may be able to get a good deal on a used replacement automatic transmission from a junk yard or the Marketplace forum.
