Well I was driving to work this morning and all the sudden the CEL came on and the engine was acting up, luckily I made it to work....I jumped the blue connector out but no flashes just a steady light .....about a month ago I went on a cruise and it ended up with flood type rains and I had to drive home in it....this reminds me of a problem my brother had with his 2000 civic and it ended up being the ground connectors in the main wire harness so this is leaving me to believe I'm having the same problem

Does anyone have a suggestions?

Is the 7.5A hood Back Up fuse blown?

Also take the car to an auto parts store to see whether the code can be pulled with an OBDII scan tool.

Yep.

Your 2000 is an OBD2b car, which means you can use a scan tool and get a much more precise trouble code than you could by using the blink method.

Autozone and similar parts stores will let you use theirs for free. It plugs in under the dash next to the fusebox.
