00 Civic DX - misfire and hesitation
Few weeks ago i bought 2000 honda civic DX on 79,500 miles from Local used dealer and clean title i checked on carfax. the record showed alot of oil changed each 3k miles and never problem on the engine.. But One thing i drove on highway around 60 mph every time i pull off the gas pedal and press the pedal the engine got like HICCUP or Jump the shift or Misfired every time pull off and press the gas pedal repeat.. so i decided to changed OIL, Tranny Fluid and new spark plugs and distributor cap and didnt changed on new rotor and spark plug wires after changed. Do same problem...... that s complication... still good gas 40mpg and lot of power... hope you understand this ..

Sounds like a fuel cutout problem on deceleration. The PCM should send a command to cut fuel on the release of the accelerator pedal, it is possible that the PCM is doing this too quickly or too late. I literally just ran live data on a car to examine these types of issues today.
You can throw parts at it and probably fix the issue eventually or take it to a nice shop that has a good diagnostic scanner with a live data stream for OBD2 vehicles. No "hole in the wall shops."
