00 Civic DX manual -- ECU REPLACEMENT

Default 00 Civic DX manual -- ECU REPLACEMENT

Looks like i might have to replace my ecu . I have a CDM 2000 honda civic dx which has a p2e ecu now for a manual trans .

DO i have to get the excat same ECU or could i get another ODB2 ecu ?

Same would work for u. Possably if its chipped then you would have to get one and chip it but go with the same ecu

ok so i will try to find another ecu that is p2e for a manual trans.

There's a couple on ebay form the states and i'm in Canada will that make any differences?

No. 96-98 Civics have OBD2a ECUs, whereas 99-00 Civics have OBD2b ECUs. You need to buy a 99-00 P2E ECU for a manual transmission.

Please don't post things when you have no clue what you're saying - it only makes the thread harder to understand, and might confuse future users who search and find this thread. It's OBD2. It is not chipped.
