still trouble shooting this cel 9 code so i have been trying to test all the wiring between the dizzy and ecu.

So i found the pins in the ecu connector for the dizzy , they are showing a resistance of 350 ohms. I don't have a continuity tester on multi meter.

i tried to test the connector the dizzy plugs into but i couldn't get a reading off of it

any suggestions on what to do ?

Measure the resistance between each CYP wire and body ground.

Key off -- Unplug the ECU connector that has the two CYP terminals. Set multimeter to read resistance on the lowest scale (e.g., 20 or 200 Ohms), if it does not auto range. Touch one meter probe to one CYP terminal in the ECU connector and the other to the metal frame under the dash.

Thank you soo much . Should i discnnect the neg battery terminal ?

and how much resistance am i looking for?

I just tested it and it gave a reading of 1 which I'm pretty sure mean there's no circuit and it's grounded???

Not necessary but it wouldn't hurt either.

Infinite/Too high to measure

1 meaning infinite /to high to messure...
So I'm pretty sure this means everything is grounded?

Both CYP pins?

No, it means the wires are fine.

If both CYP wires are fine, then swap in a known good ECU.

Thanks ron

U.S. and Canada ECUs should be the same, but if you can borrow one for testing purposes, do that rather than buy. What car/engine?

You also might want to check whether the code is still thrown after unplugging and replugging the ECU and distributor connectors, just in case there was just a bad connection.
