i have a 2000 civic si and its bogging and i cant figure it out start up the engine and idles and then while drive and shifting it has a poof noise from the exuast and bogs every here and there like theres no gas feeding while my foot is on my gas padle and when i take my foot off it kinda jerks back check engine come on but i shut it off and still does that......i replaced the coil cap and sparks and plugs put a new fuel pump,and thats about it what i can think i did i dont know what to do next! please IDEAS? thanks

My car did that too and did a tune up. Did you replace your rotor too?

yeah i replace the car and rotor too.....you can say about a whole tune up but it still does that it would drive great and another day drive like ****......did you fix yours? IF YEAH WHAT did you do??

I replaced my whole distributor and did my ignition timing and Changed the fuel filter.

I also replaced alternator and belt, recharged battery, cleaned throttle body, New throttle body gaket, IACV and FITV. Checked ground cables

My money is on tps sensor..... it's either out out allignment or it's shot... my money is on shot.... wait im out of money.....

so all that bogging is from the TPS sensor?

A messed up tps can make your car bog like hell to the point where it just shuts of or just bog a little. What you say how it studders then gets better is what a bad tps does.... Trust me I just delt with this issiue, go try and calibrate it.
