[RANT] lower control arms won't come off! [/RANT]
I went to my mechanic and he tried to pull off the lower control arms with an impact wrench and still couldn't get them off!!! 
i have to buy him new bolts so he can cut off the old ones
oh well i got this in the mail :D
holds two gauges and a turbo timer and fits in the left vent

uhhh...no bangum with hammer?? didn't try a ball joint fork?? I know sometimes that'll work...
I'd honestly go to another mechanic lol. I wouldn't trust anyone who relies on cutting bolts to get a job done...there's always a way to free it up, especially if you work on cars for a living....

he tried pb blaster to see if that would help but no luck...
he has been working on cars for 30+ years

Damn James..that sucks. Just pony up the extra 6 bucks for bolts, cut them off yourself and be done with it. Save yourself the trouble and time.

he works at a toyota dealership, but he works on cars out of his garage for cheap.
he suggests that I buy them cuz he works 6 days a week.

well, my friend did this, if all else fails, get the car onto a very sturdy lift, and hit the arm hard with a sledge hammer. Btw, nice guage trim.

ok, that makes no sense....cruise control and dimmer has to be relocated?? damn, I've been away from my civic too long (4 months it's sat in charleston, sc) I need to wait until this weekend and take a look...didn't think the driver vent was THAT big...and thought the cruise was on the wheel and dimmer was on a separate area of the dash....
