[FIXED]civic si slow to start
ok i just put in new plugs, rotar cap, button, and high flow pump pump, as a regular maintence/ upgrades and about 4 days later the car begain slow starting,
the starter was turning over, but it took a few seconds to finally start,
the longer the period of time between starts the longer it took to start.
i checked the bat/alternator, and both were good, the plugs were gapped correct(.50 for the si motor) and no fouling..
then i pulled the brand new high flow fuel pump, and NO GAS came out...IE no pressure left in the lines....
THE check vallve was bad....
so keep that in mind folks...
pump was only a weeks weeks old and prob developed in 5 days.. i
did notice this check valve was slighly crushed outta shape due to the hose clamp beeing used too high on the vlalve with too much pressure...
altough they will and do go bad...
good luck..
