[FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
#77
Re: (EKvTach)
Can I use a EK window crank handle on an EG? How about an EF handle? They all the same? If they do fit, are they the same style or do look different? Don't want two different crank handles.

zipties? care to explain? i plan on selling my springs/struts off my 96-00 to someone with a 92... curious to how hard is is to make the rears fit...</TD></TR></TABLE>
the fronts are what you MAY have to zip tie cuz the EK struts that i've installed don't have provisions for the brake lines to bolt onto (to secure themselves - cuz the EG's have 2 tabs to bolt the lines onto).
the rears (as already stated) may be too narrow to fit an EG's LCA's however (the fork mount) whereas EG's should fit EK LCA's with spacers.
*hope my info is rite.
btw, THANKS TO THE THREAD STARTER FOR A GREAT TOPIC!!!

Re: (SOHC4life 96)
ok 4 wire o2 sensors and harness are intechangeable from EG to EK
upper and lower o2 sensors and stock plug harness can be interchanged also
(lower can be moved to upper and upper to lower)
if you dont have to have emissions testing like some places here this proves to save you some cash

1996-2000 Honda Civic EX steering knuckles ARE NOT interchangable with the 1997-2000 Acura 1.6EL. The only difference is the caliper mount, it is built further out on the EL for some reason.

Yes, it will fit fine. There are, however, two different designs of front LCAs for 96-00 civics. If you get the stamped steel version (as seen on 99-00 Si), your stock sway bar won't bolt up to it. You would then need a different sway bar...
92-95 Civic / 94+ Integra LCAs...
99-00 Si LCA (notice the different sway bar & end-links)...
99 Civic CX LCA (same as 92-95 civic)...

Re: (hybridej7)
Chances are that both the front & rear shocks will not work on your civic. I know the front damper forks on a CRX/EF are smaller than the DC/EG/EK units. The 90-93 teg ones are probably the same as the CRX/EF ones. You may be able to get those to work with the 90-93 teg damper forks though.
The rear upside down U on the shocks of the EKs are smaller than those from the EF/EG/DC shocks. You will either need to replace your lower shock mount bushings with EG/DC ones, or put washers between U and the EK bushing. I always recomend against the washers. They will cause unwanted stress on the bolt that holds the damper to the LCA, and that may lead to failure over time. You cannot swap the LCAs either since EK LCAs are longer than EG/DC/EF ones.
I would suggest getting EK shocks for safteys sake...

Re: (94eg!)
-92-95 hatch and coupe carpets Are different...hatch is about 1 inch shorter but it will work with modification
-DC integra sedan rear seats will fit into EG sedans.....backs bolt right in and bottoms need a slight modification to get the loop to reach the factory bolt hole
-All 92-00 sedan and coupe exhausts are interchangeable....the difference being where the cat is placed
-all EG headlights are interchangeable
-DC integra coupe exhaust will bolt up to EG coupe

Yes, as long as they are both the same ABS or non-ABS type axles.

Are you talking about under the dash or doing a complete dash swap?

No you can't use a b series intake manifold on a d series without any modifications. The best d series intake manifold is the d16y8 found in the 96-00 Ex civics. And yes the sprints will work but the car might be lifted. Get springs for a civic, not integra. The higher spring rate will most likely lift the car.
