[FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
First, my apologies for not putting this in here first.
I have a 93 Del Sol S with manual door locks. When unlocking the driver side door the other day I heard/felt a snap. The lock cylinder was no longer connected to the mechanism and I found some broken plastic in the door after I took off the door panel. Moving the rod that attaches to the lock cylinder no longer locks/unlocks the door. It looks like I need to replace the whole latch. Does anyone know what models/years are interchangeable? Thanks

Answering this common question: Does this part from Honda vehicle X fit in my Honda?

1) www.hondapartsnow.com
2) Del-Sol > 1993 > S > Any Transmission
3)
4)
5) Copy Part # and paste into search
6) http://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuine...5-SR3-003.html
7)
If pictures didn't make sense, these are the vehicles that will most likely fit based on part #'s:
CIVIC 2D '93-'95
CIVIC 3D '92-'95
CIVIC 4D '92-'95
DEL SOL '93-97

Thanks, it is actually item #19 on the diagram that I need and the site you used gave me the part number I needed. It shows that #19 is LOCK ASSY., L. FR. DOOR Part NO.: 72150-SR2-A12. That part # comes up as Del Sol specific.

Ahh, well I was thinking of the lock cylinder because that's what happened to my 240. Luckily you took the time to look into it yourself, Good luck with the repairs.

All S2K clutch master cylinders work on all 96-00 coupe/hb/sedan with an adapter plate from blox. ITR brake master cylinders work on all 96-00 coupe/hb/sedan.

-S2k steering wheels fit on EG but it wont line up straight, need a alignment
-all mid pipes are not the same between 92 - 00 civics and 94 - 00 integra's
the mount's don't line up and depending on the cat it could end up being 2 inches short
-integra dash's dont go into civics with out modification and wiring
-el trunks fit on 96 - 00 civics direct bolt on, but need to re wire plugs for lights
-97 - 98 front end will go on a 99 - 00 and vice versa, hood, bumper and fenders
-integra front ends wont go on civics with out custom fenders
-someone asked if 99 - 00 fog lights will fit on a eg. no
pretty sure all power steering components are the same across the board, same with the main relay
now my question will a 96 integra bumper fit perfect on a ej? im pretty sure but has anyone tried it?

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
I'll post up because my HX is a bastard child of the EG/EK family.
EJ1(ABS)/EH3(ABS)/EH9(ABS)/EJ8/EM1/DCx (4lug) spindles are all the same. Period. Point blank. Try to get a matched set though. I specify with ABS for EG cars because they got the 10.2 rotors.
You can use any D-Series transmission designed for a hydraulic clutch system in any EG or EK.
The HX is unique. It can use any 96-98 harness, even if it's a 1999 or 2000. I'm using a harness from a 1997 LX.
I'm using trailing arms from an EM1, but they're the same as any other rear disc arms with 4lug suspension. The cables MUST be from an EM1 however for a Civic.
I'm also running ITR struts all the way around. Use your existing forks up front and if you're an EK family car, you need 3 washers on either end on the rear to make a nice tight fit. I upgraded the bolt to a grade 12.9. The ITR struts are a solid upgrade with the Tein S-Techs.
EG and EK seats pretty much swap over regardless in the front. Yeah, there's that 4th bolt issue, but meh. My car didn't come with seats and the EJ1s were free so screw it. Swap rails if you can and that 4th bolt not mounting is a concern. It isn't for me.
Goes without saying you can drop any D15 or D16 into these cars as long as the disty and injectors are compatible with your ECU. D17 block as well. Not sure if you could run a D17 head thanks to COP ignition. Exceptions are the Z6, Z1 and JDM D15B VTEC. Kinda screwed there. Rest of the engines the disty will move around. If it sets your heart ablaze to run a B7 in a 98 Civic LX, do it. Just use a Y7 disty and intake manifold so you can run the P2E.
I accidentally bought a set of rear camber arms and adjustable toe links for an Integra. They fit my car. So that must mean 92-00 Civics and 94-01 Integras share that (except ITR). Nothing bad has happened yet.
Accidentally also clicked BIN on front uppers too. We'll find out soon enough.
Exhaust: hatch is to DC as coupe/sedan is to DB. Meaning if you have an LS swap in your hatch, you can run the Integra setup from header to tailpipe. Axle backs will swap using the formula listed. Running a GSR sedan axleback on the HX now. Mid pipes are based off the manifold you're running. For non-V Civics, just get a header and cat for an EX model, then the aftermarket opens right up.
For EK family cars, hatch and coupe doors are the same. Sedan doors are unique (duh). I have a hatch door on the passengers side because that's all I could find. However all my power guts swapped in.
I'm sure I'll have more as I go along with the project.

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
My buddy wants to trade me my factory headers with catalytic coverter for aftermarket headers 4-2-1 I have a 96 civic lx non v. My question is this will just bolt on with existing piping underneath? Or will I have to weld anything?

Don't know if anyone had said this but I will anyway. Evo 9 injectors seem to work for d16z6 don't know yet though the harness connects anyway
