Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
A trick I use to see if serviceable parts are interchangeable goes like this, it may not be 100% accurate, but it helps.
This one is for OEM parts that'll switch over, the second list is for aftermarket brands and parts.
The best site I found this method for is www.HondaPartsNow.com
Go to the part you want, lets say i'm looking for a replacement radiator for my 1999 Civic DX 5speed, but don't have the cash to get a new radiator so I'll check out a friend, local classifieds or a junkyard. I search for the part # by navigating through the site after choosing my vehicle model, year, trim and transmission. Here is the part # for the whole radiator assembly: 19010-P03-505
Don't click on the link of the part # though. You want to copy that part # and paste it into the search box. If you click on the link, you won't be given the results of what other vehicles use the same exact part. If you search for that part # it'll give the results like so:
I go to Rockauto.com, choose the make, year, model and trim of a vehicle. In this case, Honda 1999 Civic 1.6 L4 SOHC. For example, I want to see if a distributor cap is interchangeable and from what vehicle(s) works. I then click the part # which is a link and it'll bring up options. You may have to try this with other products because they will show different options.
This is the method I used to find out that I can use parts from my CRV to my Civic. Instead of purchasing a new A/C idler pulley, I just moved the one from the CRV over.
Also from my experience. 97-01 CRV Clusters fit, front seats fit right in just need to switch the brackets. The clip for the sun-visor goes in as well.

I have a 94 DX, it doesn't have a tachometer in the gauge cluster. Will the JDM SiR cluster (with tach) plug in play or will it need modification?
Second, I'm replacing the rear trailing arms. Will trailing arms from a 4-door fit on a coupe, and if it's form a EX, LX, etc will they still fit on a 2-door DX??

I have been searching for the answer to this for over a week...
are 96-00 coupe and sedan seat belts interchangeable?
a page or 2 back someone said honda will replace for free, but i called my local honda dealer and they said no.

Curious, I have a buddy what wrecked his 95 teg LS, I can have anything I want off it. I have a 96 civic hatch DX, what can I use from his car? I'd like to add power windows and locks, could I rob his wiring to put in the civic? Not having much luck finding a 96-98 2dr EX to rob the wiring from.
And I already did the rear disc conversion so I don't need those...

Neverrmind. It won't fit. I re-read the thing and it says it deletes the resonator. The B-pipe for hatches are longer unless he installed an EX header and cat.

You need more than just the wiring, you'd also need the window power motors which are built specifically for the door they go in, you could get the wiring and switches, but you'd need the window motors from the right shaped door, in which case you might as well just get the wires and switches from there.
If you're good at fab work it would work, but I'd say no.
You should grab his seats

This is something you can just go to the Buddy CLub website and check or give them a call. Also if you are putting a cat on you don't need the test pipe.
