Transmission Type From Vin?

Transmission Type From Vin?
Hello everyone,
I'm selling my engine/transmission from my del sol. It had a b16a with a gsr trans. At least that's what the previous owner told me.
I've done some research and have found that some people say that the transmission Vin has no correlation to the car it came out of. However, when I put the transmission vin into carfax, an jntegra RS comes up? Does this mean it's an RS transmission?
I'll post a picture with the Vin below.
Any help would be amazing. Thanks!

VIN stands for Vehicle Identification Number. It represents the vehicle the tag came out of, nothing else. So some people are misinformed.
What are the first six digits of the VIN tag on your trans?

So that means its a rs/gs/ls trans? They're all the same right? What would be a good price to list it at in todays market?
The previous owner junked the head by over torqueing everything so I'm trying to get at least enough money from the block/trans to throw a d16 in it to get me to school and back.

Go to Home Depot and get yourself a box of TSP and a stiff scrub brush, then clean the hell out of the thing. It would be worth spending an hour to split the case and inspect to know what you have.
I'd say you have a $500 trans if you spend the time to get it spic & span and confirm the insides are in good shape.
