Default EG with b18c1 and air conditioning

Im having a little trouble getting the air conditioning to work in my eg. It has a b18c1 swap and that is where the problem comes in. The comprressors for the b-series engines have different entry points and the bolt used to secure the hose to the compressor is located in a different position, just about 90 deg. That wouldnt be a problem but the one stock eg hose has a bend and you cant simply rotate that hose to accomodate for that 90 deg. difference in the position of the bolt.

My first though was to get the Integra hose but it travels around the bottom side of the radiator in a round-about-way that i dont think will work on my civic with the half-width rad.

Has anybody else encountered this? I would like to find a stock solution rather than cutting and welding the stock hoses.

Use your Civic AC Compressor and all the lines from your EG. Then, buy a 93-95 Del Sol VTEC (P54) AC Compressor mount and it will all bolt up perfectly

Exactly.

This is covered at least 3 times a week lately.

Did you even try the search function first?

eh, who's car is faster? And it's ALL because of the AC (or lack of it). No other reason but AC removal

I have heard of that being an option, but never really thought it would work. But, I guess if you have it actually up and running like that with no problems, that could also be one way of tackling the problem. Which two of the four bolt holes line up?

Just becareful when you only use the two bolts, don't have your belt really tight. My compressor came right off and it was dangling from the two hoses. the belt came off too. The shop that check the AC tighted the belt so tight. I was angered.

live in a desert area and ask "who needs a/c"? its 102 daily NOW, and gets to 115-120 in the summer, and at its worst in august... have you ever passed out from a heat stroke or heat exhaustion? now imagine that happening behind the wheel of your prized possession... i don't care how hardcore you are, unless you're stupid you'll have it.

do as mentioned above to get your a/c workin, good luck.
